Boomtown Will Return (1 Viewer)

Maybe good news/Bad news as it inherits the Friday Night at 10 slot from SVU. Homicide had to fight every year to not get cancelled from this slot so we'll see. I betcha NBC firms up sundays by having both Law and Order series on Back to back. Well at least Boomtown gets a 2nd season.

That's great news. I'm not thrilled by at the timeslot simply because it tough to survive on Friday night, but whether it's on Sunday or Friday doesn't really affect me since I'll timeshift it either way. I'm just glad to hear it's coming back, as I think it was probably the best new show of the past season along with Miracles (which unfortunately didn't even make it through the first season).

Hey, it can succeed there. Law & Order: SVU has done very well in that timeslot for the last couple of years.

I can't believe they are bringing in another character played by Vanessa Wiliams Onto the series. This has to Be NBC's doing. The cast is large enough and does not need another cast member. And any scenes given to williams, who by the way is a terrible actress, takes away from the original Characters. I'm glad it's coming back , but I hope this isn't Jon Seda joining Homicide all over again.

Tuesday at 10pm, apparently. Puts it up against NYPD Blue, but there are so many cop shows on TV that it really can't be avoided. Still, I don't know how much overlap there is between the two - one's very procedural, while the other is more character-based.

The really funny thing is that both NBC and ABC have moved their cop shows out of Sunday at 10pm and both scheduled law firm shows for that period. It's almost like they can't avoid butting heads.

Terrific! Probably saved by the USAToday poll where it came in 2nd behind "Angel" for the show in danger which people most wanted to return.

Thanks for the info. Tuesday night has the most shows I watch (five) and that does not include NYPD Blue anymore. I was hoping that with BUFFY gone there would be a little schedule relief on Tuesday, but I guess not. What is it about that night, anyway?

There are two black actresses named Vanessa Williams - which one is joining the cast? I'm assuming it's the Miss America/pop singer. I can't think of anything she's been in. Oh well, welcome back, Boomtown (and American Dreams, also.)
