Line doubler w/Panasonic L300U (1 Viewer)

I'm in the early stages of purchasing a home theater system. Right now the Panasonic L300U looks like the projector that best meets my requirements.

My question is: Is there any need and/or benefit to using an external line doubler with a projector such as this? My primary motivation would be to convert 480i sources like VHS and SDTV to 480p.

Thoughts?

Kevin,

I am on the verge of ordering a L300U myself. It is my understanding that the L300U has a pretty decent line-doubler built in for 480i sources which would probably suffice for lower quality sources like VHS. For DVDs it is best to let a progressive-scan DVD player do the line-doubling.
