I don't know who nominated it or the reason (OAR?) without going back & checking but I guess it doesn't matter as it lost the match.

My votes
The Criminal Code - a great Hawks film & a must buy, would also like to see The Sign of the Cross
Crossfire - a must see
The Crowd - for the S&S challenge, seen Short Cuts, liked it but wouldn't buy it
Shadow of the Thin Man - not really interested in John Waters films

The Criminal Code over The Sign of the Cross 5-4

Crossfire over Sick: The Life & Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist 7-1

The Crowd over Short Cuts 8-1

Shadow of the Thin Man over Cry-Baby 5-4

Curtains- underrated slasher.
The Sender- one of my most wanted from Paramount.

71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance - going with the known quantity
The Seventh Continent - seen both, love Curse of the Werewolf too
Seven Men From Now - I choose the Butt Boetticher over (more!) Canadian cheese
The Damned - seen both, The Damned is a rarely seen sci-fi gem

I was the one who nominated Sick, I had no idea that it had been quietly released on DVD.
Thanks for that info Brook, I just added it to my DeepDiscount order!! :)

Brook,

For Boetticher go with one of the seven Randolph Scott B Westerns preferably The Tall T. If you like the Anthony Mann/James Stewart westerns you should like these also.

My votes
Cry of the City - I'm really getting into the deeper catalog Noir films lately
The Curse of the Werewolf - a must own & another gaping hole in my Hammer collection
Seven Men From Now - another must own & my second favorite of the Boetticher/Scott westerns
The Damned - looks interesting

Cry of the City over 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance 11-1

The Seventh Continent over The Curse of the Werewolf 7-4

Seven Men From Now over Curtains 9-3

The Sender over The Damned 7-5
