UPDATE

It looks like by late Sunday night, I will have
posted what should be one of the most in-depth
reviews of this DVD release, sans the commentary.
I really pushed to get this completed early, and
thus far, the review looks sensational (if I may
dare to say so myself).
Please hold off posting any further screen caps
on this forum. I have plenty to post (nearly 80
of them) in my review including all the menus that
you have seen posted here already.
Let me talk about the transfer of Back To The
Future Part II....
I was a tad disappointed in the transfer of the
original film. BTTF PART TWO is noticeably
better. In fact, this is the transfer that I had
hoped for. The image quality is much sharper and
colors are wonderfully vibrant. There is absolutely
no film grain to be seen here.
The Deleted Scenes are fairly good, but the
Outtakes are way too short. Otherwise, the
added supplemental material is quite good.
Give me another 24 hours and I promise a very
nice review for all of you, complete with screenshots
from just about all the supplemental material including
the outtakes and deleted scenes.
Again, I kindly request to please hold off posting
material off of other sites until then. Afterwards,
you can post whatever you want.
Thanks

I guess you will have the first review!!!! :emoji_thumbsup: :D
As I said, you can always review the commentary later. Once again, thanks for working so hard on this review. We all appreciate the time you spend on these reviews!
Edit: Oh by the way. Ron, HTF is on the front page of BTTF.com!!!!

The BTTF.COM mention is very flattering.

I'm not really interested in being the first.

I am more interested in doing as best a job I
can do under the circumstances.

I'd also like a confirmation of whether or not the "To Be Continued..." is at the end of P1. I hope they put it on there for consistency reasons even if it wasn't on the theatrical print.
It definitely isn't on the R2/4 sets, so my guess is it won't be on the R1 as well. They even talk about it in the commentary apparently.

It's not on the dvd, as both Gale and Zemeckis wanted the original theatrical ending - in my opinion it works better, as I prefer the straight cut to the end titles song.

:frowning: Well, it's a minor thing. I'm personally disappointed, but that's not enough to keep me from picking up what looks to be a great set. :)

Joshua, it's in the little crawl at the tip, under a banner ad and to the right of some red arrows (arrowhead, really). The font is like a size 6 or something similar (really small). The copy is "HTF posts first photos of R1 DVD set" or something like that. It's a clickable link, and it takes you to the top of this thread!

Are the new versions of The Back To The Future Trilogy released yet in the stores...I'm talking about the ones without the mis-framing issues...

Yes, there's a seperate thread about this. In fact it's the first post on the forum so you didn't have to go searching back to last year for this post!
