Guys,

Still in the middle of this review -- actually
just finishing up the first movie. This is
going to take me days to do -- and I am not even
going to listen to the commentaries due to the fact
that I need to get this review done. There will
be plenty of screen shots, I promise.

Wait till you see the OUTTAKES reel on the first
DVD. There is a sendup of a deleted scene where
Fox visits the school as a Puerto Rican who catches
his Mom cheating on an exam. It is hilarious! The
crew also replaces Michael's prop water bottle with
alcohol, resulting in a pretty funny mishap.

Post screenshots from the deleted scenes? Hmmm,
we will see. I have almost 20 screenshots from the first
film alone, and am expecting nearly 50 screenshots
in this review.

Guys, I am in a race to get this review done as I
already have lots of other DVDs that are getting
backed up here. Will do the best I can with the time
I have.

Sounds good. You know, you could add the commentary review later on when there is time for you to listen to them.

If anyone wants to help me with this review....

I am looking for the 3 original arrow logos
from each film in .GIF or .JPG format.

Have searched all over the net for them, and
I only came up with really small ones that don't
do justice to the review.

If anyone finds the original logos, and sends them
to me email, I'd really appreciate it.

Estimated review posting: Monday Night/Tuesday Morning

I got a lump in my throat seeing Universal put that gorgeous slip-case over that blue beast :D

I noticed on DVDTalk that Obi (of "Obi's Reviews") posted screenshots from the R1 version of the scenes in question. Looks like its the same as the other regions, but it didn't seem to bother him.

I can do that, Ron, as i've made an Illustrator file of the logos, and can make what you requested. Only one problem....

What's your e-mail address?

p.s. what color background / what pixel size, roughly, should these be?

EDIT: Sorry, obviously, my brain's not working.... your e-mail's right in your sig. I'm sending you GIF's and JPG's now.

I want to see screenshots for the 1st movie, so I can compare it to the HDTV laserdisc I have of this movie (I'll take some screenshots of my own)

You know what I think? I think these are some of those scenes that was shot to work matted...but looked better when the matte was moved down. They probably had locked-in center matting throughout the whole of BTTF2's new transfer...but that will not stop me from buying this...

That slipcase makes that crappy blue cover kind of go away.
I can't believe how excited I am for this. There are only 23 days from this day left and I am completed psyched!
I've been waiting quite sometime and really really really can't wait much longer. It sucks I have to wait 3 weeks  but I know it will be worth it.

I have watched these 3 movies on dvd already, and I think that Ron will agree with me that the extended Darth Vader scene is one the best that should have been left in the movie imo.
Oh and I will buy the R1 as well.

Until I found these screenshots I still wasn't convinced that there would be any kind of commentary tracks on anything but the first film. I'm happy to say that, while Zemeckis isn't on two or three, we get the writers and producers, Bob Gale and Neil Canton. Plus the Q&A with Zemeckis and Gale for all three and an enhanced conversation with Michael J. Fox. It looks like a stunning package. I just hope those overmatted shots were from the other editions and not the R1 release because it would clearly be a mistake. There was way too much 'head room' and Zemeckis and the DP would never approve the transfer. It's also nice to see the "Power of Love" music video even though it's oddly placed with Part II and "Doubleback". And I guess there was never any video for "Back in Time." Anyone know?
