Or any small difference I see in no way to me justifies buying yet another version. The differences will be much more striking as the display screen size increases. For example, on my 61", there will be no comparsion between the two. I suspect even on a 35" set the differences will be quite noticable.
I can't believe people actually get paid big money to make decisions like this.Or maybe the studio didn’t want to release the theatrical cut and Van Ling did it on his own for the true fans and made it hidden!!! I see no other logical explanation! Any other ones go into the why, why, why category. It’s so illogical!
I see no other logical explanation! From past experience, I don't think any logic applies to his easter egg philosophy, but that's another thread.
Is there any "upgrade" rebate offer for owners of the previous edition(s)?Not in my copy. There's a coupon for $5 if you buy the Extreme Edition plus one of a select collection of Artisan titles, but that's not an "upgrade" deal...
Has anyone been able to compare this to the D-Theater tape?yes - they have over at avsforum. the consensus was that the WM9 version is superior to the DVHS version, but that's not saying all that much since T2 is one of the worst looking DVHS transfers available. The reviewer felt that broadcast HDTV often looks better than T2 WM9. Still, any improvement is still an improvement.
Like with all Cameron films, the extended verision is a far superior filmWith T2, Cameron doesn't think so.
