New to this forum, wanted to share my latest HT project. I am on the final stretch of getting it just the way I iwant it. Here are the particulars:

Sony 5000E receiver
Sony 770ES 400 DVD changer
Belikin PureAV power conditioner
Vintage Yamaha integrated amp (runs garage and outdoor speakers)
Scientific Atlanta HD cable DVR
Custom built HTPC running windows XP media center and DVD lobby pro to control DVD changer
Niles IR system
Sony 50" plasma screen in motorized lift
Polk monitors
Velodyne sub
Harmony Remote
Niles outdoor speakers
Sony speakers in garage

I built this entire system on EBAY. Total of all components was less than $6k. All that remains to do is hook up my ir usb remote so that I can control my mouse pointer and applications with the Harmony remote.
