Acker played yer average monster of the week on Grimm, so that wasn't a clue for me. Good to see a Dallas girl doing well for herself.

Does anyone recall whether her voice was used as Root earlier in the season?

Her voice was digital manipulated to a lower pitch over the phone in the earlier episode so as to be unidentifiable.

I just finished off the season and was pretty impressed with it all and think the season became more interesting as it went on.

It's always nice to see Acker guest star, but her being cast as Root means we get some ongoing appearances. For some reason I keep forgetting how well she plays the villain, even though she's done it a fair amount. I guess it's that innocent face of hers.
