But it is classic because of its cheesiness and goofball quotient but since that may be an unacceptable entry, how about:

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the Eigth Dimension

or

MegaForce

or

Gymkata

Tacky as in the movie is cheesy and bad? Or tacky as in posting a movie considered to be a classic of cinema into a cheesy/bad movie thread? Just wondering?

Battle Beyond The Stars. When I originally saw this movie in the theater I just laughed and laughed. I laughed so hard I had tears rolling down my face. I don't remember ever laughing at a movie so hard: before or since.

I love watching low-budget and sometimes low-low-grade sci-fi, horror & exploitation films from the 1930's to the 1980's. I can watch these films over & over which is why I own so many. Those are the only genres that I can sink to such low levels repeatedly, although once in a while there's a bad comedy that I have special affection for (ie:Transylvania 6-5000).

Maybe we should change the thread topic to "Movies that are cheesy" instead of bad/cheesy. They are 2 different things.

Yeah, BRING IT ON is goofy and maybe a little cheesy. But, it is not a bad film. It's good. And, it did well at the B.O. and got decent reviews because it's good.

Same with a lot of films listed here.

ICE PIRATES is bad. But, I crack up at it and almost always have to watch.

I've thought some more about this, and finally decided that there is indeed a class of films that I'd watch even though they are bad/cheesy - porn films. But certainly not any 'real' films. :)

Cause Jack Burton says so!

Another good one is Legend of Boggy Creek. They got the actual rednecks to reenact their parts lol.

Edwin - I was joking. ;) Just seems like there's a few movies coming up that are pretty good. PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES, for example.

Seriously, though ; I really like the first half-hour of JUDGE DREDD, and I just recently bought a three-pack of THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT, AT THE EARTH'S CORE and WARLORDS OF ATLANTIS, which are all shit, but give me a nostalgia buzz. I'm sure there are many, many more.

Everytime it is on I can never resist watching is Deep Blue Sea. My wife and I joked about it that we probably have seen it 20 times at least. When it hit the WAL*MART $5.50 bin we finally bought it.

Deep Blue Sea is one of mine as well.

Also add Cobra to the list. The movie is beyond terrible but the Marion Cobretti character is cool, love the car, love Brian Thompson's psycho performance and his knife. I've seen this movie far too many times than I'm willing to admit.

Battle Beyond the Stars is one of my favorite cheesy movies as well.

Death Race 2000 also deserves a mention! (Stallone and Carradine in the same movie? Priceless!)
