In that price range for a bookshelf I suggest the Onix Ref 1 from AV123. They're running a sale on their rosewood finish right now at $599 down from $1200. These are amazing speakers and at that price...I'm not sure why I'm not getting a pair myself.

Thanks to everyone who responded! I now have a system. I've ordered the SVS SBS-01 with the SB12-Plus sub. I am pretty pumped. I will have it on Tuesday so I am hurrying up the last of my home theater drywall! lol I will post a message and let everyone know what I think about it.
