I just bought some klipsch HS1 outdoor speakers to put on my patio by the pool and they say 60 watts continous on the back. I'm looking into running these off of a yamaha rx-v1500. These would be hooked up on the zone 2, but what is the power rating for zone 2?

Good question - appears to be a glaring oversight in the manual.

The manual notes that the Zone 2 and Presence speakers can’t be operated at the same time, which indicates that they share the same amplifiers. That gives us a clue, as traditionally Yamaha’s Presence channels (a.k.a. “Front Effects”) have been powered at 25-35 watts per channel.

ok thanks for your help Wayne! I shouldn't have much to worry about then except trying to wire these speakers up. I have about a 50 foot run for each so I guess i'll go with 12 gauge if i ever work up the nerve to start.
