Here's another one:

The first encounter between Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in Match Point. I haven't seen anything like it since Fred MacMurray met Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity.

And the final conversation between the two cops, while maybe not a "wow" moment, gives a satisfying sensation of everything clicking into place that's a rare thing in storytelling.

I'll just add a few:

1. ROTS

-Padme's last breath/Vader's first breath

2. Batman Begins

-when the bats envelope Bruce in the batcave, and he truly conquers his fear. THIS is where Batman is truly born.

3. Narnia

-when the two armies are charging each other and they bring the music down...brilliant and stunning. A neat twist on a cliched scene

Revenge of the Sith

C-3PO getting the last line of the entire Saga on the same set where he speaks the first words in A New Hope.

The Opera/Darth Plageuis scene

Yoda during the Order 66 segment (the best achievement in CGI all year for me)

Vader's first force choke

Batman Begins

"I'm Batman" and "Swear to ME!"

Land of the Dead

The classic black and white Universal opening and the opening introduction with the zombies attempting to lead normal lives.

Blades's (Tom Savini) cameo.

Serenity

The Reavers and River's kung-fu explosion in the bar

Sin City - I love this movie to pieces. It's one of those films I can watch whatever mood I am in.

-Opening sequence. Really REALLY sets the mood for the film.
-"I love hitmen...no matter what you do to them, you don't feel bad"
-"I love you Nancy"...*BANG*

Batman Begins - My favorite super-hero movie to date

-Montage sequence of his training (starts with "my anger outweighs my guilt"). Awesome Newton Howard music here too.
-The Tumbler chase (duh)
-"It's not who I am underneath, but what i do that defines me." followed by the leap off the building with that score pounding in your ears. Just gives me goosebumps.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

-Padme's ruminations. I never expected to see this at all. Wow.
-Order 66. I could rewatch that over and over again.
-Final shot.

The Chronicles of Narnia

-The first shot of the lamp post. Just set the mood ridiculously well
-The wide shot of Aslan talking to Edmund when he first returns
-The girls crying over Aslan's body, then Aslan's return

King Kong

-Kong and Ann's first real scene, when he keeps knocking her over and finally she hits him and he goes on a rampage and storms off. That whole scene was just perfect in introducing Kong.
-V-rex battle.
-Kong reaching out his hand for Ann while succumbing to the chlorophorm. :frowning:
-The ice scene. Damn it, PJ, stop pulling on my heart strings you manipulative bastard! ;)

One moment that really qualifies is when the Phoenix descends on the battlefield in The Chronicles of Narnia: TLTWATW. To me, that's the classic *audience erupts* moment.
