What's the best method to connect these components? (1 Viewer)

Up till now I ran everything through my receiver with one S.Video to the TV.

I recently upgraded to a HDTV, Progressive Scan DVD and just picked up an HDTV Cable box from Adelphia.

Unfortunately, my Denon 3803 doesn't have enough component connections to keep everything the same ( 2 video / 1 monitor )

My TV (Hitachi 65SWX20B) has 2 component video inputs and was wondering which piece of equipment I should run directly through the TV.

Cable Box
XBox
DVD

If the TV is autosensing or if Xbox is 480p then it doesn't matter much and I'd do what's most convenient. If not then hook the xbox directly to the TV.

Thanks for the response Jim.

That's exactly what I ended up doing last night. My wife will never play Xbox so it made more sense to have the receiver do the switching for the DVD and TV.

I'm starting to understand why upgrading is a never ending process. :frowning: :frowning: :D
