Keeping it HTF related, I'd say waiting out the last 10 - 14 Days of an Amazon Pre-Order. Worse still, is having the Canadian Release of a Pre-Order then be delayed a further 4 weeks, as does happen periodically! The worst that I experienced was last year's Three Stooges Millcreek DVD Release of their 6 Movie set, which got pushed back by 4 weeks, 5 days AFTER the original Release Date, with Amazon Canada having previously re-categorized its status as "Item Temporarily Out Of Stock" on the original scheduled day of issue! > :(

CHEERS! :)

I'm annoyed with items that require maintenance but it's not made easy or even disclosed to the purchaser......

Look at my thread about changing out the $15 sacrificial anode rod in a water heater. I certainly didn't know about this until I read the manual carefully. And yet this may more than double the life of an expensive water heater.

I once owned a piece of AV gear (early CD player?) that crapped out on me. The back panel stated "no user serviceable parts inside", but I didn't believe that. It turns out there was a blown fuse on a circuit board. I unsoldered it, soldered in a pigtail fuse holder, put in a fuse, and turned it back on. It worked fine for another decade.

How about brake maintenance? All you have to do is change the brake fluid every few years and maybe grease the slider pins in the calipers. That's about $5 in materials if you do it yourself.

Heck basic car maintenance should be included in a driving test to get your license. You should show how to check the oil and coolant levels, and how to check the tire pressure. Aircraft pilot's licenses demand much more than this.
Yeah but!! Today's car infotainment systems pretty much tell you everything going on the hood of your car as well as tire pressure, why go get sweaty and dirty checking them when you can let the car do it for you.

Annoying:

The whole media overkill of the former Bruce Jenner circus we have going on with every single news or "entertainment" website or radio/TV show.

I'm also sick of all the "Oh person "X" Tweeted something "offensive" about Miss Jenner!! FRY THEM!!! "

Glad Miss Jenner is happy but enough already. Sadly I'm sure it will spin into all kinds of book and TV deals we'll have to see plastered all over the place for the next year or more.

UGH!!!

On the same note idiot smokers who crack open their car windows to vent their nasty smoke and you smell the stench even several cars back. Roll up your windows and suck in all your cancer stick goodness ya idiots!!
Isn't that amazing? I guess I've just become more sensitive to smoke, but wow, you can be 100 feet back and still get the odor, absolutely disgusting. We've got the 25 foot law regarding smoking near building entrances here in Washington, but I still have to get a good breath of fresh air about 50 feet away, then hold it until I get through the smokers. Yuck.

What about Casinos in Vegas that allow smoking anywhere? They have non-smoking sections that are open to the areas where the smoking is allowed. Same with their Bingo Halls, the smoking section is in the same room as everyone else, just a few tables over by the soda machines. What's the point? Other places have a closed off room separating smokers from non-smokers.

Live Chats online...

My internet provider offers live chat, so you fill out all this info (ph#, name, reason for the chat etc). Yet when a "live" rep comes online, they ask you for all that same information AGAIN and force you to type it all out again! Why are you making me fill in the inital info if all you plan on doing is asking me for the info all over again when you come online??!!

People who say "Hashtag" before a point they are trying to make. Its conversation not twitter. Same goes for doing that in a commercial or using @ before a person's name in an online forum. Again, people, this is not twitter. For that matter, include Twitter itself.

Seeing these silly looking Tour De France wannabes riding on our already clogged and NON-BIKE FRIENDLY roadways slowing down the flow of traffic while people try to safely go around them. Worse is when they do it at rush hour. Stay off the road and stick to the miles of bike trails we already have!!

Drivers who don't understand the concept of the center turning lane. With two-way traffic, and a center lane dedicated to people wanting to make left turns so they can get out of the travel lane and not hold up thru traffic while they're waiting to turn. Some dummies just come to a complete stop in the travel lane, blocking all traffic, rather than moving into the dedicated turning lane so that traffic behind them can keep moving.

Also, those who don't understand the concept of "right on red," though I do understand that's not the rule everywhere so we can maybe make an exception for visitors/tourists. But for those who live in a state where it is allowed, there's no excuse.

I could probably fill this thread with driving-related annoyances. Many drivers seem to be fundamentally stupid.
