Read an article in the NY Times a week or so ago saying how its going to be impossible to buy a CRT TV in the next three years. They said that was a lot faster end to the CRT-era than was originally expected by industry officials. One of the reasons for the quickened pace, the article said, was the fact that men (who already love new gadgets anyway) were actually being told by their wives/significant others/etc.) to go and get one of those "nice thin TVs to hang on the wall".
