Well, I've still got some budget restrictions to deal with. Not sure just yet what the bottom-line $ figure will be...but I'm seeing some 50" sets of decent quality that would be a nice upgrade.Originally Posted by Mark-P /t/322593/weekly-roundup-7-31-2012/30#post_3957493
I think David meant that you need to think bigger. 50" is still way too small!
And there's a link in the OP. Thanks, Matt.TonyD said:up and it can be found here.
Yep. I tend to think a 60" as the minimum in many rooms (with proper viewing distances of course) to get the most from Blu-ray. Obviously budget restrictions, furniture constraints, etc. can interfere. My dad upgraded recently to about a 50" screen. He couldn't go bigger because of the furniture they bought a year or two ago. He keeps saying he wishes he had a bigger screen and for his viewing distance he really needs it, but what are you going to do.Mark-P said:I think David meant that you need to think bigger. 50" is still way too small!
I thought I knew you, man.Mike Frezon said:Plus, I think anything much larger than 50" would be a bit too large for our room.
