The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks Mike. I think I'm going to upgrade my Total Recall Blu-ray as the new version is only $7.99. Das Boot has been on my list for a while and the $4.99 Best Buy trade-in price makes that a no brainer. I'd love to get the Marilyn box set, but I might save that for the Fox Studio Store when we are they in October for the HTF meet.

As always, thanks for the prices, Mike! I don't see it mentioned in the RoundUp, but I wanted to pass along that on Bestbuy.com they are promoting 35% off all HBO shows (including over 50 Blu-ray titles). Depending on what you're looking for, this may be a decent deal (especially with the $5 Upgrade and Save offer) and if you order online and use in-store pickup for a purchase of $50 or more, you get a $10 savings code for a future in-store or online purchase. Perhaps not quite as good as their annual in-store 50% off HBO sale, but this way you don't have to wait until Christmas to fill in those gaps in your collection.

The royal wallet has leaked a copious amount lately, with no letup in sight.

The Forever Marilyn set will have to wait a bit in this corner, too.

I ordered the UK release of Le Grande Illusion because it has an additional feature or two that sounded worthwhile.

I could go nuts with that, grabbing everything from True Blood S3/S4 to The Pacific to Hung. I gotta be good though.

Same goes with the Bourne Trilogy. There probably won't be any left by the time my budget resets on Friday (hopefully), but that won't be the end of the world.

Thanks for the roundup. My mother went to BB for me just now & then I got a call from her. ALL 3 Bourne movies she was going to purchase for $9.99 with U&S had NO Fandango movie cash stickers. They had been out of stock on all 3 & this was a brand new shipment. They even opened one to make sure there was nothing inside (which of course there wasn't). So she's coming home with 3 U&S coupons & no blu rays. I am steaming. Day was already not going well & this adds to it.

Charles,
What are the additional features? I was planning to pickup the US release, but I might rethink that.

This was posted in RAH's "A Few Words About..." thread, and I decided they were enough to make a nice difference for me.

I should add that two bonus pieces are missing from the US release:
Renoir's silent short (La petite marchande d'allumettes - 32 minutes) The Little Match Girl from 1928 (in SD PAL) & "Francoise Giroud remembers" which contains some interesting information from shooting La Grande Illusion for about 11-minutes.
I understand their importance is relative, but these two features totaling 43 minutes might be important to some, especially when you consider that fans who have region B playback can presently get that disc from AmazonUK cheaper than the US release missing the pieces.

Hatfields & McCoys Blu-ray at BestBuy.com is $24.99, not $19.99.

Well, that's an error on my part then...because I don't post coupon prices in the price table...but the price of the item on the shelf.

I must've gotten confused by that box in the flyer advertising Hatfields and McCoys.

I have adjusted the price in the grid.

I plan on doing this. I haven't bothered with the program, but this seems like too good of an opportunity.

Thanks. I'll just get the US version for now. I need to look into getting my Oppo modded for region B playback as there are several discs I'd like to have that are region locked.

Thanks, Todd. A link has been added to the OP.

==============

And, I have updated Amazon's price on The Seven Year Itch (a great film). They have dropped it from a surprisingly low $9.95 to an even more surprising $8.86! This one I ordered (instead of the big Blu Marilyn collection) figuring that I would wait for similar good prices on Gentlmen Prefer Blondes and How to Marry a Millionaire.
That's one crazy low price!

Confused? Hell, I just went back and looked at the BB flyer. That particular text is so small and thin and poorly colored that it is barely readable in the two copies of the flyer I got this weekend.

I'm working on Forever Marilyn now, but I'm not sure if I can finish today. Depends on what kinds of extras are there for Show Business and Seven Year Itch.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

Thanks for the roundup and 'Specials' info Mike, I was able to swap for Blu my very old Das Boot disc, don't think anyone else would ever give me $5.00 for this flipper disc today, I couldn't find a copy of the new "Total Recall" Blu, but used another obsolete non-anamorphic title and picked up "Predator" instead.
