Now that the smoke from all the studio shuffling and buyouts maybe starting to subside, there seems to be a ray of hope among some studios, like Warner Bros. With George Feltenstein back in the saddle of WAC, I wanted to start a thread on the classic and hoped for releases that we collectors of phisical media would love to add to out ever expanding film collections.

Although some may have recieved dvd editions, some not at all...these are the titiles that we grew up with or maybe turned on to later in life. The thing is, as lovers and collectors of classic films, what are the titles that still need to be added to YOUR collection?

For me for restored editions in BD are:
Prince and the Pauper (1937), Kim (1950), Stanley&Livingston (1939), Northwest Passage (1940), The Canterville Ghost (1944), Captain Horacio Hornblower (1951), Sinbad the Salior (1941), The Iron Mistress (1952).
I am so greatful to those at Warner Archive Collection and WB and for those that give us all the heads up on the upcoming releases, it gives us all the hope that springs eternal!!!

Please, please one day. This is the closest an epic American action film ever got (and probably will ever get) to the power, greatness and poetry of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. I love it so indulge my hyperbole.
Agreed. This and the searchers are two films I wish Warners would release. There's a lot of people who want to see this in the Ford/wayne, and pekinaph camps, but I won't complain. They have given us some true gems over the years.

Funny. When writing my post, the only film I felt comes close to this epic quality was The Searchers. To me, The Wild Bunch is a mash up of the epic quality and emotional poetry The Searchers with the bad ass quality and violence of My Darling Clementine.

One last thing to clarify, I don't think The Wild Bunch is a "greater" film than The Searchers. They are very different but share many similar elegaic, epic qualities.

Y’all left off Random Harvest from your lists. 😁 We need a Blu-Ray of Random Harvest!

Would also like The Student Prince in Old Heidelberg (and anything else with Ramon Navarro), Tol’able David, the remaining Judy Garland titles, how about some Jane Powell (nice to have Athena but it’s pretty lackluster as movie musicals go), truly restored/remastered Anchors Aweigh, On the Town and The Music Man, also Yolanda and the Thief, Captain Blood, The Roaring Twenties, Kung Fu (original series), and what about more Golden Harvest titles? And yes, definitely The Wild Bunch (in 4K?).

Meanwhile, a giant THANK YOU to George Feltenstein and his hardworking team!
