Warner Archives did a really nice job on "ALICE" (Seasons 1-4) and "FLO" (Complete series). I hope this year (2014) Warner Archives releases "KNOTS LANDING" (Seasons 3-14) and "THE DREW CAREY SHOW" (Seasons 2-9) the same way.....my only two "Holy Grail" shows I want complete series. I know both series have "music rights" issues, but I hope Warner Archives can resolve them sooner than later. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

So, too, would Head of the Class (1986-91) and the Growing Pains spinoff, Just the Ten of Us (1988-90).

I'd like to see some of the Sony Choice horror titles (Ghost Story/Circle of Fear, Black Moon, Mystery of the Thirteenth Guest) sent over to Mill Creek and released more affordably.

Now that Andrew V. McLaglen has recently passed on, what are the chances of a release of his favorite film, the depression-era drama, Fool's Parade, (1970) which starred Jimmy Stewart, George Kennedy, Strother Martin, and Kurt Russell? It's a Columbia film, and it's had a few cable airings in the past few years, but it's very hard to see. This is a worthy release. One of the only two Davis Grubb novels adapted to film. The other was Night Of The Hunter.

Who owns the rights to the Sanford and Son spin off "SANFORD"??

I would snatch that set up (complete series or single season) instantly.

Redd Foxx was still doing strong work as Fred!!

It's owned by Sony. I can't think of any reason it couldn't have come out after Sanford and Son, apart from Sony deciding it wasn't worthwhile. Ownership shouldn't be in dispute at all, and there might be a few musical clearances but certainly not as many as in the original series. I remember that Sony was actually releasing the Tandem shows at a pretty good pace and then they had a change in management and one of the new executives was actually quoted as saying something like, "Who would need more than one season of Sanford and Son?" Fortunately, the original series was all available by then, but it didn't bode well for the revival. If Sony ever really gets its MOD program to a volume approaching Warner's, Sanford might be a good candidate. But I'm not sure the show is well-remembered enough to get a third-party licensee excited about it.

Despite Warner Archive's plan to release Hanna-Barbera's THE SUPER GLOBETROTTERS (1979) on DVD, that doesn't take away the fact the cartoon isn't really remembered enough.

I only have two "Grails" left, but those are doozies with about as much chance as finding the actual Grail:

Slattery's People
The Great Adventure

Both ran on CBS in the 1960s, both are in black and white.

As Irving Kahal wrote (to Sammy Fain music): "I Can Dream, Can't I?"
