The next edition of Top of the Pops BBC Four will be showing will be from 18th September, 1980 (presented by Simon Bates & guest presenter Olivia Newton-John), which will be shown on BBC Four this Thursday night. After that, it's looking like the showings of Top of the Pops will be taking a break until probably late September, because of the Proms season (the next edition to be shown after the 18th September edition is the 25th September, 1980 edition (presented by Mike Read & guest presenter Russ Abbot).

Like with the 18th December, 1980 edition, the 8th January, 1981 edition of Top of the Pops, and every edition since (which BBC Four can show) started with no video preview montage but the songs straight away.

On BBC Four this week:

Thursday 4th February - the 5th March, 1981 edition of Top of the Pops
Friday 5th February - the 12th March, 1981 edition of Top of the Pops

and next week:

Thursday 11th February - the 19th March, 1981 edition of Top of the Pops
Friday 12th February - the 26th March, 1981 edition of Top of the Pops.
