Ladies and Gentlemen,
First of all, may I say that it was absolutely
a pleasure to meet all of you. I can't begin
to tell you what a great time I had with all
of you in tow.
I need to talk to all of you about something....
On Wednesday or Thursday this week, I am going
to post my REPORT on the meet. There a few things
I need from all of you -- as well as I need for
all of you to do. Please read carefully....
First....
Everything we did last weekend was partly
for promotional reasons. In other words, FOX,
PARAMOUNT, DTS and WIDESCREEN REVIEW want you
guys to talk about what you did and saw. In
essence, they want you to talk up about their
companies.
Some of you may have already started threads.
I haven't checked the SOFTWARE area today.
I will post my report on WEDNESDAY and then
put an OFFICIAL thread where all of you can add
your comments.
I do ask that EVERYONE that attended please
participate in the OFFICIAL thread. Give all
these companies your thanks, and talk about
what you saw and heard.

If any of you took pictures, I would like
the best of your lot.
My email cannot handle large downloads. If
you can zip up some of your pictures and send
it to me in a small batch, I will include the
best ones on a future picture webpage I hope to
have up in 2 weeks.
Bring the pictures down to webpage size, and
send me a small handful, zipped.

In addition to Alfie, we saw some of the restoration work being done on Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, The Duelists, and an old Roy Rogers film, the name of which I forgot.

Others put multi threads in the old VBulletin "Local HT Meets" forum. Can we put them in software for more exposure?
Also we have to be careful that no one divulges any information that is not to be put on the web...
It was a pleasure meeting you and all of the HTF'ers who attended any of the days (I went to all 4). I also agree that we need to talk about all of the studios and companies that hosted us to give good word of mouth. We were treated like princes/princesses and they need to be rewarded for that!

It was truly a pleasure to met everyone on Thursday and Friday. What a blast it was! Ron, it was great to get to met you and hang out.
Looking very forward to doing this again sometime, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Yeah, guys....
The SOFTWARE area is where an OFFICIAL THREAD
will be started on Wednesday after I post my
report. My report will have a highly visible
link to that thread.
Talk about EVERYTHING. Talk about your visit
to Dave's home as well. Talk about the DVDs
you saw at Dave's home: "Shadow of the Vampire"
and the restored "2001" and "Barry Lyndon"
Talk about the studios -- what you saw. Talk
about the visit to WIDESCREEN REVIEW, and the
equipment there. Talk about the wine tasting and
the products given away.
If you did not like something, say it. Be
honest. This is not suck-up feedback by any
means. We want to be honest about the quality of
DVD product we saw.
DO NOT talk about anything that may have been
said in PRIVATE, although I don't think any secrets
were told to any of you by Martin, Dave or Peter.
As I said, hold off till Wednesday. You will
not miss the thread in SOFTWARE when it goes up.
