For some reason the previous disc slipped under my radar. I didn't know anything about it. I'll buy this new disc. I've come to admire Richard Fleischer a great deal in the past 15 years or so.

I note your reservations about Patricia Owens. Without wishing to be ungallant, I have to say that I can't recall her ever having been impressive in any role in any film. I've always been slightly puzzled that she managed to secure so many leading roles in fairly major movies; films like Island In The Sun and The Law And Jake Wade.

The review reminded me of this film and I watched my pressed disc again last night. Excellent movie and transfer, which I'm sure will look the same on the MOD disc. Yeah, Lee Remick versus Patricia Owens doesn't seem like much of a contest for Don Murray in the film to me.
