I was hoping since they were now UltraViolet something further would have changed.

Yeah a lot of MGM titles have gone UV in the past year but they aren't a participant in D2D, unfortunately.

I'd definitely be a happy camper if they were. I have all the Blu's and darn it I still want my UV copies. I bought FRWL just to check one out but I plan on just picking up the individual Blu's when they drop to like $7 just to get cheap UV codes.

I would think this will be a slow seller? Seems like most have the bond 50 set. There isn't a good reason to buy the set as there isn't any upgrades to it?

Anyway. New prints would've gotten more buyers. Oh well 3 years will go fast.

I don't think it will be anything huge, that's for sure. I plan on getting it at some point just for the Digital HD codes. Buying them separately at $14ea would add up to $300, so $200 is a deal, and lord knows it will get cheaper than that. The Everything or Nothing doc is good, too.

On a side note, you can't even order it on Amazon as they seem to have pulled all pre-orders from Fox

I saw the preorder was pulled too. Was curious about price.
I imported everything or nothing on DVD from region 2. I gave up on a U.S. Release.
The new spectre material will be fluff I'm sure.
The HD codes are nice I guess... Something anyway.

Sounds like new prints are being screened theatrically now and will show up when bond 25 comes out in 3 years?

Don't think I will be rebuying this again for awhile since finally getting the set last year. When finances improve and I have a 4K/UHD bluray player I will possibly pick up the 4K/UHD version or just my top 007 titles.

Personally I don't care about the ultraviolet and do not even bother registering the codes anymore.

SPECIAL EDITION BOND BLU-RAY & DVD RELEASES ARRIVE THIS SEPTEMBER
BOND COLLECTIBLES WITH NEW SPECIAL FEATURES
RELEASED AHEAD OF UPCOMING 24th JAMES BOND ADVENTURE, SPECTRE

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 15, 2015) – Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM) and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment are releasing special edition Blu-rays, DVDs and collectible box-sets on September 15th, ahead of the November 6th global release of SPECTRE, the 24th James Bond adventure.

Two new featurettes are included based on interviews with renowned Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. “The Shadow of SPECTRE” concentrates on the history of SPECTRE, the fictional global criminal syndicate and terrorist organization. The second featurette, “The Story So Far”, recaps and relives the significant moments from the previous three Daniel Craig Bond films.
Limited Edition Blu-ray Steelbooks headline the new home entertainment offering for Bond fans. The collectible set includes six films featuring the SPECTRE organization (From Russia With Love, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only) and the three recent Daniel Craig titles (Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall) each featuring packaging inspired by the films’ iconic opening title sequences.
The Ultimate James Bond Collection features all 23 iconic Bond films together in one Blu-ray box-set, which includes a 24th space for SPECTRE and, for the first time, digital copies of the collection. Also included is a new bonus disc exclusive featuring “Everything or Nothing”, a 90-minute documentary on the untold story of 007 and a pocket-sized James Bond 50 Years of Movie Posters book including the best posters from Dr No through to SPECTRE. This collection will be exclusively available at Amazon.com.
Dedicated Actor Packs with new packaging will also be released on Blu-ray & DVD.

Here's an interesting thing...

If you redeem the code for Casino Royale on Vudu it gives you the uncut version that hasn't been available in the U.S. I had heard about it on another forum so I ordered the Blu from Amazon for $7 to give it a shot and having just skimmed through it I can confirm that to be the case...

Have there been issues with the digital copies in this set? Playback, accessing, etc?

I may order the Canada set for the codes. Just researching before I buy.

Are the digital codes through ultraviolet or Amazon?

Nice packaging - I especially like the booklet.

Presumably though, this is just a repackaging of the 2012 50th set, minus the pointless 'bonus' disc, and with Skyfall's disc art now matching the others...
Bonus discs are never "Pointless".

I haven't had any issues with them. Note that the digital copies are all 5.1, meaning the older films use the re-mixes. Thunderball uses the newer flawed 5.1 track, as opposed to the Blu-ray which uses the older, more faithful, 5.1 track.

I can't speak for other services, but the Ultra Violet version of Casino Royale is the slightly longer, uncut version of the movie.

If I ever wanted to pick up the uncut Casino Royale on Blu-ray, which international release has it? I'm region-free so that's not a concern.

I have the first Australian Blu-ray which is the uncut version with PCM 5.1.

Regarding Casino Royale, if you purchased the 2 disc Blu-ray set,

51P8DGLM%2BJL.jpg

it contained a second commentary, a video commentary with the director and producer, that does not appear to be on the disc included in this Ultimate set.

It does looks like they ported over all the bonus content from the previous bonus disc to the single disc of Casino Royale in the Ultimate set.

I swapped out the blu-ray and gave away the copy in the Ultimate set and put the bonus disc in its own double disc case with the Blu-ray of Never Say Never Again.

I have the UK release from 2012 with the "15" certificate. It seems to be region/zone free.

Aside from the cut of the film, I think it's essentially identical to the 2012 US release.

Another James Bond Collection has hit Amazon for 2016 release.

Dirt cheap. Perhaps the discs come in a paper bag.

Awesome!

Is there another series that is so often and redundantly reissued over and over?

MGM and fox could take a page from Disney.
