Printer's Devil and Thirty Fathom are pretty good. I tend to prefer the suspenseful episodes like Printer's Devil.

the mute - very good

these hour shows are like movies to me. they seem to last a long time. so i guess i must find them to be very well written.

I would say the same thing but I would mean it in a negative way because I think a lot of the fourth season episodes feel really padded. As if they had a 30 minute story but then they just added to the script until it would hit the 60 minute mark.

LOL - gosh it doesnt seem like that to me at all. i find that it enriches the story, giving a lot more depth to it.

but i understand your concept - i have watched lots of stuff that i did think was padded.

i guess it depends upon how well one thinks all the scenes tie together and compliment one another.

so far, i guess i think they do a wonderful job !!

i did a little bit of research. they went back to half-hour in the 5th season ?

death ship - not that much of a meaning, but i did find it pretty entertaining.

and i think tooncy must like it, as i would describe it as being filled with suspense.

i was just thinking about the mute.

i dont think there is a shred of science to back up the idea of telepathy.

but i sure hope it aint so - can you imagine everyone being able to read the other's minds ?

it is one thing to be able to control our tongues. but control our thoughts ?

sorta like the tz episode where the guy can hear what everyone else is thinking !!

I don't think I've watched Death Ship. I guess I really need to watch them all instead of just my "favorites" over and over.

hi tooncy,

if one approaches tz just as entertainment, i suppose i like almost all of them.

but, like star trek and some others, my bar of expectations is raised - because many of them also have deeper meanings that 2 people can discuss.

so when an episode lacks this, my expectation is a bit disappointed.

jess-belle - i guess it was entertaining. not much meaning.

plus i dont care for witches, ghosts, goblins, and magic spells.

i dont recall the name of laura devon. but i found her to be very pretty.

i always wondered why ann francis never had that mole removed ? maybe it was not possible at the time. i always found it distracting.

the miniature - pretty good

dont recall the name of claire griswold, but i thought she was very pretty

i am not real familiar with robert duvall. but every time i see him, he is always playing some sort of dysfunctional character.

so much so, that i seem to think of him as being so !!

does he ever play normal parts ?

i recall him in the fugitive episode in the fishing town, where he played another strange sort of person.

His role as Tom Hayden in "The Godfather" is pretty normal. In fact, I often think he's the only normal character in the movie.

Robert Duvall is one of the greatest of American character actors. He has had a long and multi-faceted career which includes an Oscar (Tender Mercies as a country singer) and many, many acclaimed performances in some classic American movies (Network, Apocalypse Now, The Conversation, The Natural, The Great Santini). He's certainly worth getting to know.
