There's a ColorCode anaglyph of "The Mad Magician" which, like all things ColorCode-related, is best avoided.:3dglasses::eek:

Those Field Sequential 3D titles that Starks sold were mostly Japanese VHD copied to VHS. I remember paying $90 for a VHS copy of the French Line (not from VHD). I think other titles sold for $50 to $60. So, those of you that think $30 is a lot to pay for a TT 3D Blu-ray, its a bargain.

Do you know, I naively insisted Starks accept a return and exchange on my copy of House of Wax because it had that unsightly black bar across the bottom of the screen? Of course, I had absolutely no idea that this was meant to cover forced Japanese subtitles in the VHD from which the Starks edition was sourced. But to Mr. Starks' credit, he took the exchange and sent me a copy of The Zoo, his retitled and severely abridged version of The Bubble. I liked it just fine. I never would have dreamed I would come to love that latter film the way I do now. And of course House of Wax is my all-time favorite.

I HATED how they changed the titles of so many movies. I called them about "The Zoo" as the opening title was obviously video-generated, and he gave me the history of the different versions and names of the movie, and that the tape was sourced from "The Fantastic Invasion of Planet Earth" and he didn't feel that was a suitable title for the movie, so he just changed it!

I never saw them put out House of Wax or The French Line; most of their tapes were $50 each but they sometimes had specials where you could get 5 for $200- a bargain at the time! I wish someone would put out a 3D Blu-Ray of the 80s porn movie Sexcalibur.

Greetings All. First time posting in this forum (usually just read and post on Blu-ray.com. On the subject of 3D blu-rays, I have purchased pretty much everything that has been released with a few exceptions like Step Up 3D. I have The Mad Magician downloaded on my PS3. The titles I'm waiting for are The Maze, Parasite, Andy Warhol's Frankenstein, Friday the 13th Part III 3D, and Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared Syn (and the previously mentioned It Came from Outer Space. I saw all of the 80s wave of 3D films in the theater with the exception of Parasite. I've only seen The Maze flat. I have Parasite and Andy Warhol's Frankenstein on field sequential DVDs, but I don't have that system set up anymore, so I wish someone would release them. As I recall, both Frankenstein and Metalstorm. . . had some of the strongest 3D I have seen in the theater from the films released in the 1970s and 1980s (Jaws 3D was really good too, especially two scenes early on in the film--those of you who have seen it will know what two I am referring to). I know these films would be considered a niche market, but those of us in the niche would be grateful if they were released. I'm hoping Jaws 3(D) sells really well based on the inclusion of the 3D so that other companies will sit up and take notice and, perhaps, release some of the titles I mentioned along with a few others (Starchaser: The Legend of Orin, Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zones, Treasure of the Four Crowns, Rottweiler fit into this category).

When Starks sold House of Wax, Dial M for Murder, and other full frame 3D titles that he copied from the Japanese VHD's, he cropped the bottom on the image so you would not see the subtitles. He also released The French Line in 3D.

Just let me know when preorders start. The only reason I'm hanging onto my PS3 is because of Mad Magician 3D.
