I have Fox's great dvd of Shirley Temple's The Little Princess for many years and it looks really wonderful - hoping some film historian can tell us anything about this title in the 1970s when it aired with the rest of the Temple films it was shown in black and white then a big deal was made that the film long lost in color had been found - thats when the film started to get aired in color -- was the color print found after thought lost?

I still can remember when the Tom Bosley hosted THAT'S HOLLYWOOD aired on TV around the mid to late 1970s, color footage of Shirley Temple blowing out candles on a birthday cake was part of that show's opening montage. It was only decades later that I figured out that that bit of footage must have been from THE LITTLE PRINCESS (1939). I too, have that Fox DVD. In fact, I have two copies!
