Ron's review of the abysmal Driven on dvd raises the question of fast cars in films. If you could take your pick of a high fuel / high horsepowered car from your favorite car / car speeding / car action film on dvd, from which film/s or film character/s would you pick it from and what would you get up to in driving it.

Whatever cars were in Ronin, my favorite car chase film. Weren't they suped-up Audi S8's? The second big car chase against traffic in the tunnel is amazing.

I'll take a jet car (modified Ford truck) with an Oscillation Overthruster!
BTW, I think the black Dodge Charger in The Fast and the Furious was fairly badass.
Oh, yeah:If it looks like a poll, sounds like a poll, and smells like a poll, it's probably a poll.

Since Greg has taken the Audi already, I'll take James Bond's BMW 750iL in Tomorrow Never Dies

I loved that tiny remote controlled car that was menacing Clint Eastwood through the streets of San Fransisco in The Dead Pool!
And for a car with an attitude, nobody messes with 'Christine'!
The Turbo Interceptor from The Wraith was HOT!
But the baddest car i've ever seen is none other than Doc Brown's time traveling Delorian from Back to the Future, This sucker is nuclear!

Robert Mitchum drove a hopped up '57 Ford in THUNDER ROAD. It was cool just because it was a real hotrod with Mitchum driving. Anyone wants to argue otherwise can line up with the rest of the girlies.

Here's another one, Burt Renolds and Dom Deluise's ambulance from The Cannonball Run. O.k. so it's not so hot to look at, but hey, they would have won the race if Captain Chaos hadn't stopped to save that damn puppy! [IMG]

The greatest car ever to grace film or TV will always be the original Batmobile.
My second choice would be the 1969 Dodge Charger from the film Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry (1974) with Peter Fonda and Susan George.
