Sony has launched a new Bluetooth party and TV audio speaker, the SRS-XV900 ($899, available for preorder now). According to Sony, this is the “most powerful and loudest” speaker in its wireless speaker X-series range. The portable device includes a three-way sound system with omnidirectional audio, programmable mood lighting, built-in wheels and a 25-hour battery life.
The XV900 fast charges for three hours of playing time from a 10-minute zap, and there is also a protection against overcharging. A TV ‘Sound Booster’ function promises enhanced audio when watching TV and an optical cable is provided to take advantage of this setting with all TVs. A microphone and guitar connection, combined with the Fiestable mobile app, means you can use the speaker as an amp for a versatile karaoke mode.
