Sony has today announced that a selection of its TVs are officially ‘Ready for PlayStation 5’. The tagline has been created in partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) to make it easier for consumers to select the “best” TV for the launch of the PS5 due for release during the upcoming holiday season.
The first TVs to carry the badge will be the X900H 4K HDR and Z8H 8K HDR Full Array LED models. The X900H displays gaming images of up to 4K resolution at 120 fps with low input lag of 7.2ms, and the Z8H is 8K-capable, while also enabling 4K resolution gameplay images at 120 fps. Sony says its ‘Ready for PlayStation 5’ models include a dedicated Game Mode, allowing users to play automatically with low latency, and wake up both the TV and PS5 simultaneously with a DualSense controller. Additionally, the PS5 is controllable via the TV remote control.

Nnnnot entirely--
PS5 plans to (finally) work in a UHD 4K player into their console, which means 4K gaming, but current PS4 gamers with 4K sets have complained that the elaborate signal lags a bit onscreen once the play gets a bit heavy.

Obviously they're pitching to gamers with the enticement of fast processing and "Low latency", but the folks who hear that know why that's a good thing.
Sounds like it'd be good for the UHD movies, too.
