Remote control problems (1 Viewer)

Here is my set up, it is nothing fancy. Toshiba 42xv545u tv, 80gb playstation 3, and using a motorola hd dual tuner dvr dch3416 from time warner cable. I am using hdmi to connect the ps3 and cable box to the tv.

My problem is the cable remote and the universal toshiba remote will not work on the dch3416 box. They still work on the other cable box in my house. For some reason after the box is connected to the toshiba the remotes no longer work on it. The dch3416 is still working fine. You have to push the buttons on it. The remotes also work on the toshiba tv just fine.

I have exchanged the receiver for a new one from time warner and been through 3 tech calls with them trying to get the problem sorted out. They are stumped. They haven't seen this problem either. I have a tech coming to the house next week to take a look.

Any ideas for my remote control issues?

Some weird HDMI interaction? Try connecting via component instead.
