Can anyone provide a good link that explains how to read the technical specs for recievers? I'm sure there's more than a few writings about this in the forum, but I didn't see anything in the FAQ's. I have some rudimentary understanding (more watts mostly better, more THD definitely worse, etc) but how, for example, would one look compare the specs for the HK 320 -- 65 watts x 2 (stereo) into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.07% THD — or 55 watts x 5 channels into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.07% THD (surround mode) -- against the Denon 2802 -- 90 watts x 6 into 8 ohms (20-20k Hz) at 0.05% THD -- given that they're roughly the same price?

Thanks,

Ron.

Check this link.
Its a chart that compiles the Sound & Vision ratings on receivers. While the 320 isn't up there, the 510 is. Given its performance, the 320 should be able to perform to spec.
