popping/cracking noise coming from my sub... (1 Viewer)

i just recently i noticed a kind of popping/cracking noise coming from my sub. i'm running my Velodyne Deco 7.1 speakers system with an Onkyo TX-NR901 receiver. the crossover is set at 'deco setting' and the subwoofer level at a little less than half. when i watch movies, i have the master volume at around 60 - 70% of the maximum level. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. please and thank you very much.

Option A, turn it down.

Option B, place it in a corner, and turn it down.

Option C, get a sub with more balls and crank it.


When you don't have any signal going through the sub, gently push the driver in from the center. If you hear or feel something rubbing then you probably blew the driver and you'd have to check with whoever u bought the sub from about warranty. I'm not sure how good Velo's CS department is but you could check with them too. Good luck.
