Please help me narrow the speakers (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I am very new to HT. I have done a little bit research and listened to some brand at cc &goodguys. My budget is around $1200 for 5.1.
I have decided on dayton 12'' sub and harman kardon 235 for receiver.
For the speakers, I cannot decide which brand yet.
some choices:
JBL e30, e35 and e90
athena? ascend? any other better choices?
can someone help me to choose some speakers within my budget?

I guess one good thing to know would be what type of speakers are you looking for - e.g. what will fit in your room? Are you looking for wall mount surround speakers? Floorstanders for the front? Bookshelf speakers for the front on a bookshelf? Bookshelf speakers for the front on stands? Also when you say $1.2k is that before or after the harmon kardon and dayton?
