I just wanted to share with you guys our new Dedicated Home theater room. Its being built from scratch.

We started the foundation may 17th or so. As of Sept 7th it will start to get sheetrocked.
The room is 15'6"D x 14'3"w.
It's a odd shape room. The doors are on a angle. Double doors.
It will have 8 seats. Movie theater style seats. 2 rows of 4.
106" screen. 16:9. Front stage, Sofits with lights, and columns to hide the speakers in. Also might do fiber optic stars.

I prewired everything. I ran wires for 7 speakers, Sub, and a DVI-D for the projector. I Also wanted game ports in the room. So i ran a HDMI cable, Component video, S-video, Toslink, Y-R-W rca's and a Cat5e. All got ran to a 4 gang box. Going to get wall plates for everything. Nice and clean, easy to hook up to. There is also a chase in the ceiling.

All the lighting will be controlled by the Lutron Grafik eye. 6 zones.

Insulated.We used JM Sound Control insulation.R-30 for the ceiling and R-15 for the walls. The screen will be mounted to the left of that Grey poll

The long wires i used are Blue jeans cables. Really nice wires. Great prices.

Speakers. Axiom Epic 80 500 7.1
Projector. Dwin Transvision 4
Screen. Carada Criterion 106" 16:9
Surge Protector. Panamax M5300 EX
Remote. Philips Pronto Pro NG.

How are people with the Equipment in another room getting the remote's to work? I see philips has a RF to IR but that won't help me inside the room. I have the grafik eye and projector in there.

How can i get this to work?

Looks very nice. I am just starting to build my HT. My room is 20 x 15. hope to have pics soon. One question...Have you made a decision on your screen? WIll you make it from scratch or purchase one? I am still undecided.

Yea i'm going with a pre made one.
