I was curious if you know who has distribution rights to Stoogemania? I believe Paramount made it, but a company called Atlantic released it when it came to video in 1985.
Actually, it's the other way around. The defunct Atlantic Releasing made the film, one of the few narrative outings for the great Oscar-highlight-reel editor Chuck Workman. Paramount released the film on video and on television through an agreement with Atlantic at the time.

Atlantic Releasing's assets are now owned by MGM.

I don't have good news for any of you. I don't see many of these titles except The Italian Job (toward the end of the year)on the one year schedule.

THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL (featuring Cindy Williams and Ron Howard cameo!)
Wow! I thought I was the only one who enjoyed that!
Want to know the first time I saw a bit of this? It's 1984, I'm 19 years old and still living with my folks. They just had cable installed for the first time. I've gone to bed that night and have been there for maybe 10 minutes, am starting to drift off to sleep, when both my mom and dad knock quick, swing open my door, then ask "you asleep yet...you GOTTA see this! You won't see THIS on network TV...".
I gotta admit, my folks were not the greatest, but nudity just didn't bother them one single bit. They were cool about it, and didn't mind bringing it to my attention. :)

Martin,
Thanks for the update, even if it is not what we want to hear! D.A.R.Y.L. seems to get a great deal of support around here, so I hope it is at least on the "eventually" list if not on the schedule for 02.
Thanks for keeping us informed!

Martin,

any chance of National Lampoon's Attack of the 5'2" Women, Black Sheep, and a Naked Gun Trilogy box in the near future?

Got some bad news for western fans. We're still having trouble with the original source elements for Gunfight at the OK Corral and Nevada Smith, so those have been bumped further back in the queue. The other four westerns are still on schedule for June (Bad Company, Five Card Stud, Goin' South and Will Penny).

Sam Shore,
Nice to see another fan of THE ASSASSINATION BUREAU and THE NAKED JUNGLE here.
You are barking up the wrong tree as far as two of your title requests go, however; while the classic comedy gems THE PALM BEACH STORY and RUGGLES OF RED GAP were made by Paramount, they long ago fell under the ownership of MCA/Universal. Universal released the films several years ago on both VHS and laserdisc, and they would be the ones to release them on DVD, unless they license one or both to Criterion.

The Palm Beach Story is available on Blu-ray from Criterion.

Ruggles of Red Gap is available on Blu-ray from Eureka (albeit Region B locked)

Two I'd like to see from Paramount that haven't been mentioned:

Gunn (1967) -- Possibly has music clearance issues.

Play It Again, Sam (1972)
