Initially (maybe prematurely) I really dislike iPhoto and miss Picasa. Can I store photos on my Mac OS X hard-drive, and use Picasa via Parallels to organize them? Or does Windows software, through Parallels, only see the files in the Windows partition of the hard-drive?
I don't know for sure, but I am going to take a chance and say YES.
It's rather remarkable how you can drag files to and from either operating environment. The Parallels software is THAT GOOD and I hear that new version 3 even improves upon dragging files across platforms
I've got two Parallels questions I hope can be answered!
First, a real problem: In the past week, after installing a new wireless mouse, Parallels "grabs" my mouse when I click inside its window. The mouse is trapped by Parallels / Windows, until I press the key combo Control-Alt to release the mouse back to OS X. This destroys my former seamless flow between Windows and Mac apps; it also renders Coherence mode useless. I don't know what caused the mousing change or how to go back to how it used to be. Anyone know what the deal is?
Second, a minor annoyance, everytime I start Windows, Parallels requires my Mac system password. Anyway to tell it to remember my password? It's annoying having to enter it everytime.
Got the answer at MacRumors: Parallels in Windows has a ParallelsTools app that can toggle the mousing behavior. My got confused. I toggled it back to sharing the mouse and that's all good.
As for my password: it seems to be required if the BootCamp partition is used.
