I have an Onkyo 797, but I think it uses a very similar remote to the 898. If I change the batteries, does this mean that the remote will "forget" everything that I have programmed into it, or does it have some kind of one day memory storage, or am I just dreaming at this price point? I love the remote, but since I have it controlling everything in my system, it does take awhile to program.

Hi

I have the 989 and in the manual it says that the remote has its own back up battery for just that reason. So dont worry about changing the batteries.
