What is O-Ring packaging? Saw it on this particular DVD.

Picked up this title at Best Buy but it did not have any type of sound chip.

Here's another one that says "Holiday O-Ring Packaging". I'm see this more and more on older re-releases.

It's just a slipcase cover. "O-ring" is the official packaging lingo.

Why they just don't say "Slipsleeve is beyond me. Just seems more confusing. Oh well, thanks for clarifying!

I believe a slipcover opens on the sides. An O-Ring is open on the top and bottom and slides down over the keepcase.

No, as stated directly above, a slipcover opens on the sides, an O-ring opens on the top and bottom.
