I did not expect this receiver to run hot at all, is this typical for this unit?

The Samsung SIR-T150 Runs hotter than my 5.1 receiver!

Yes all SIR-T150's run quite hot - be sure to leave plenty of air around it especially on top. Do not put anything on top of it that would block the air vents. Some folks have gotten problems when it runs hot for a while and had to add an external cooling fan to keep it cool enough to operate in warm environments.

Thank's Don, I was worried becouse of it being a Referb unit that it might have a problem.

I had installed it with my video scaler (which also runs hot) on top and when I discovered the tuner running hot I moved the scaler and gave the Sammy it's own shelf!
