Again two fine lists—for my tastes, a bit too much Beatles in Arman’s 60s picks, but a bit counter-balanced by the fine and eclectic Wild Card picks—and a good R.E.M. selection as well.

Brook has (for me) the best Beatles pick, plus a Janis Joplin tune he has topped this off with both John Coltrane and Fred Astaire (OK, maybe Fred is not the best singer—but I can see him dance every time I hear that song).

We have another tie. Damn

If nobody objects, I'll put in the sudden death vote. Otherwise, anybody that hasn't voted (can't vote for yourself though) can vote for sudden death.

Nice lists, but Nick’s 70s picks reminds me of what I did not like about 70s music.

Listening to Clifton Chenier, King of the Bayou

Dome has some unexpected picks and his 80s picks reminds me that no one selected any Zydeco.

I may go home and watch The Big Easy, just to get a quick refresh.

Dome largely on the strength of the Beatles. I'm basically scoring this like in gymnastics. If it's Beatles it starts out with a possible 3 points max, and if it's almost anything else, it starts out with a possible 2 points max. :)

These lists are pretty even for me but I'll go with Nick on the strength of Hendrix, Zeppelin, Stones, Smiths, and Ch-ch-ch-changes.

I don't think the tourney thing is turning out so well. I'm getting busy with my book and starting work on Thursday. So instead, I'm going to leave this and just expand some of my musical horizons with this thread. Sorry if I disappoint anybody.
