Monoprice’s Monolith brand has announced a new Audition Series of home theater speakers. Arriving in bookshelf, center channel and two tower configurations, they promise to deliver “immersive, room-filling sound” on movie and music content.
The Audition Tower speakers comprise the T5 (MSRP: $249.99 each, pictured below) with two 5.25-inch ported woofers one and 5.25-inch midrange driver, while the Audition T4 (MSRP: $199.99 each) uses two 4-inch ported woofers, and a 4-inch midrange driver. Both 4-ohm speakers include an inset 20mm silk dome tweeter with an optimized waveguide, and are suited to left and right home theater duties and/or stereo listening. A tuned crossover network allows flat frequency response and a “big sound” without compromise.
