The Silver series are amongst the finest speakers you can buy performing well above their price level. For TRUE audiophile quality and accuracy they are the best kept secret in high end. The S6 and the center in particular are truly stupendous speakers.
I love mine. I have the Bronze B4s. The silvers would have been great, as i originally fell in love with the S2 but they were out of my price range. Luckilly, i never got to hear the Gold series.
I would consider the MA as being more laid back - British type sound with nice detail. Similar to B&W from what i'm told. As far as internet companies are concerned, they are probably similar to the Onix Rockets (again from what i've been told). I think i would have really liked the Rockets, but those too were out of my budget.
Not that it was the best place to hear them, but when I listened to them at the Home and Entertainment show in New York I liked them very much. Very pleasant and not harsh at all.
I love mine also, I have a pair of silver 5's and the stereo image projected from these speakers is just awesome. The more you push them, the better they sound. The build quality is also top-notch. Best of luck with your choice.
Kernal X, I cherish my Silver 5's as well. They are not in daily use, but come out of the closet during all night listening sessions, when friends bring over a new piece of gear, etc. They always shine and perform on a level that is simply impossible for their modest design. Adding ballast to the internal chamber is mandatory! Mine are filled with 34 pounds of lead shot each. The difference this makes is remarkable! TIP; secure the plastic plug before standing them upright. I used hot melt glue. Enjoy!
