Of course not, but why should we - stop apologising for clumsy design

Put it another way

Is it really hard to enable full selection of the relevant options without the user having to go out of his/her way or interrupt the start of the film? Sheesh

Watched "Closer" last night for the 1st time (this was my 1st Blu title).
Forced subs??? What is this 1998?
So I attempt to scroll down to 'subs off' & I've got to go though like thirty to get to "off". Super idiotic!!!
And yeah, weak lossy track default as well, had to change that as well to the far more enjoyable lossless.
Ugh, ugh, ugly, for "high def".

I'm thinking these will just be the last transfers, so they will have simular menu/options as well.

007
I don't mind the covers (seen MUCH worse; "PotA" & "The Beatles on Ed Sullivan" for instance).
I'm for "original" artwork as well, just the 60's movies would have 60's art, the 70's movies would have 70's art, the 80's movies would have 80's art, the 90's movies would have 90's art, & the 00's movies would have 00's art. So from a marketing standpoint I understand (however like some people here I don't want marketing to supersede art or history). Agree with the 'action shot' being in the 007 barrel of a gun; just disagree with choices/framing of those covers I've seen.
I would have put two women on each cover; both the good & bad female lead.

From those Casino Royale SE specs, it looks like we still don't get the trailers! I guess if they're not on a 3-disc edition, we'll never get them. Same goes for the teasers on the SD editions of World is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

What's wrong with putting a teaser, a theatrical and a handful of TV spots on modern releases?! I'd much rather have that than the majority of back-slapping, self-congratulatory commentaries and bland EPKs we get nowadays.

As for the BD cover art, it could be worse. Like everyone else above though, I'd prefer the theatrical artwork.

The HD Room has the following to say with respect to any extras found on these discs:

Of course, they don't say what extras will be there. However, it is nice to know that whatever winds up there will be in HD.

Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but has there been mention of how the box sets will be made up? Will each film have it's individual case or will they be like the Die Hard series - one case housing all of the discs included in the set.

I'm pretty sure those details haven't surfaced yet. However, it would greatly influence how I would buy them. If these sets are one case housings, then its back to purchasing select titles now for me and waiting for lesser wants to go on sale.

Bond on Blu-ray (US - BD RA) in News > Releases at DVDActive

The Connery and Moore 007 Blu's for me. Where's On Her Majesty's Secret Service?! Next batch of Blu's? I don't even own a Blu-ray player yet! YET, if all the titles carry over every single extra from the Ultimate Editions and have the original Mono sound in lossless quality, these are highly worthwhile upgrades. AND they're cheap on Amazon.com! I wonder if these'll have booklets. Only High Definition release I own which has a booklet is my HDDVD of BLADE RUNNER.
Um, no comment on Moonraker... Wonder when they'll release the Dalton 007's also. Not sure if I should buy the current Blu of Casino Royale or wait for the double discer?
Might as well build up the titles before I buy the player!;)

DVDTimes is reporting that the Director/Producer commentary will be Bonus View (i.e., PiP) on the new "Casino Royale" SE. It will also be a 2-disc set, which pretty much guarantees the special features (which are supposedly all of the ones from the DVD SE) will be in HD.

Sounds tempting. Although if the film were the 'uncut' version that saw release in Australia on BD, I would certainly double-dip.

Unless the second disc is common to both sets ala Blade Runner and is just an SD DVD.

Hi guys-

You guys probably know a lot more then I do about the Bond discs coming. I read and skimmed over most of the posts here being mostly new to the high def threads.

I got an email advert from Amazon and they're listing the 2 box sets of three films each, all titles already mentioned above. Plus they list each film separately and the new SE of Casino Royale. These will be a bit pricey. But then I paid $80 each for Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Goldfinger Criterion laserdiscs when they first came out.

If interested: Amazon.com: James Bond Blu-ray Collection Six-Pack (Dr. No / Die Another Day / Live and Let Die / For Your Eyes Only / From Russia with Love / Thunderball) (Amazon.com Exclusive) [Blu-ray]: Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan: Movies & TV
