My friend had the Marantz SR-5200 but return it cause it didn't impress him (and me) that much for movies. Then he went for the Yamaha RX-2200, we thought it was much better than the Marantz for Movies, but the Marantz sound better in the Music "stereo" side. Is he setting up the reciever wrong, does anyone know are there any special features on the Yamaha that makes the music sound more alive like the Marantz? Now I looking for another reciever I don't mind spending the $1299 for the Yamaha. but if it can't do better than the Marantz in Music...I think I rather choose the $600 SR-5200. Anyone heard both of these recievers yet, I would really like to know you opinion on this?

Thank You

Simple. Turn up the bass on the Yamaha and you'll likely get closer to the Marantz stereo sound. Not exactly, but close.
