Does anyone know if Warner Brothers has any plans to release The Green Berets 1968 starring John Wayne on Blu-Ray DVD? If not, does anyone know if Warner Brothers has any plans to release The Green Berets on regular DVD in an anamorphic widescreen format?

    Thanks!

Yes, it would be nice to see some more of the Duke's films out on BR. We need a variety of titles, not just this horror/sci-fi stuff.

I should think there a number of better Wayne films than this one, though I guess this one is popular enough to be among the earlier BD releases. I'd be more excited by Stagecoach or Red River, myself.

    I'd vote for

    Hatari!

    The Sons of Katie Elder

Legend of the Lost (just because its a Technirama film)

    The High and the Mighty

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance

    The Shootist

    among others.

That's a good group of titles. I would also throw in El Dorado.

It's not a bad choice, though at least you have the original to tide you over (for anyone wondering, that would be Rio Bravo).

They need to have the trilogy pack. The film that Wayne and Hawks made 3 times. Rio Bravo, El Dorado, and Rio Lobo. [IMG]

I'd pick up El Dorado if it were released.
