Can someone tell me if there is that much a difference in 1080i and 1080p? I know the difference between Interlace and Progressive scan for DVD Players but is there really that much for the 1080? Would Blu Ray work on 1080i? Thanks in advance.

Greetings

Works just fine at 1080i and 720p too.

Just like 480p can be done correctly or done terribly wrong ... 1080p can have the same dangers.

No blanket statements can apply to 1080p ... for if it could ... then 480p from a $26 DVD player from Walmart would also be good.

The important thing is to have a TV that actually handles 1080p correctly and many/most don't.
