I just wanted to gloat about having it five days before it's official release date. I just bought a copy last night (Thursday) from this little Video store over here by my house that got them in on Wednsday and started selling them the same day!! They did the same thing when Crouching Tiger came out. I'm not sure if they could get in trouble for selling it early but hey I'm not complaining.
As far as the DVD, the transfer and sound are very good. It has a really cool menu selection and has an interview with Christopher Nolan that was featured on The Indepent Film Channel while back. There is also a really cool ineractive feature that lets you read newspaper articles that pertain to the story and it also lets you look at the Polaroids from the movie. This is one of the best movies of the year and I'm glad that I have it on DVD. It just sucks that I'll have to buy it again when they come out with the SE.

You guys who got the disc early are so lucky. But, I too was wondering if there is a special edition in the works. If there is one, I am going to wait.

There seems to be some problem with the disc as the scene chronology is backwards. We should start a petition asking for a recall. BTW, my pre-order was mailed next tuesday and arrived yesterday.

I have it, too--along with PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE, THE FURY and THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE, it arrived today. A happy camper.
To all: The very best MEMENTO "extra" is a superlative piece that run on Salon.com a few months ago, a thorough deconstruction of the film that I'll be sure to reference once I spin the DVD. I'm sure it's easily found on the site; would love to hear member reactions to it.

Don't count on getting it on Monday (Labor Day). The mail will be behind by a day because of the holiday. BTW, I picked mine up yesterday at my local Best Buy.
