Electronics newby...Please help me design my mancave! (1 Viewer)

I recenlty purchased a house with basement that I'm looking to turn in to the ultimate mancave. I am completely new to electronics for the most part, so I will need all the expert advise you guys can give me.


A good friend of mine gave me his projector and 100 inch screen to go with it, so I already have a few pieces. What I'm looking for is what should I use for my sound system to go with this projector? I want to spread speakers around the room for when friends are around and we are listening to music. What type of receiver should I use and what speakers will make this basement rock!


My plan as of now it to put the projector in one of the corner areas of the basement. I would say rough dimensions of this area are 15ft wide by 20ft deep with room to make this area bigger.


My budget is around $1500, I believe you get what you pay for, so if I have to expand my budget somewhat, I can do this.
