MY Onkyo TX SR800 receiver has no HDMI input. Bought a new flat screen TV. I would like to find a way to convert the component cabling to HDMI and run a HDMI cable from it (Onkyo) to the TV. Is this possible? Do I need to replace the receiver?

They do make component-to-hdmi converters, some come with audio conversion as well, but I don't know how well they work.

I also have older receivers that lack hdmi and I just run the video straight to the displays and let my Harmony remote do the switching of the displays inputs. I know there's more wires involved but video straight to the display just seems like the best way to do it for me.

Thank you very much. Looks like an excellent solution especially at that price point.
