Hey all. First off, I'm poor. I have the JBL NSP1 Setup. Looking for a cheap sub that will fill a smaller room. I do have however, two 10' bose 601 subs in perfect shape. Would it be worth using a modified tower from the 601 and using this as my box and setting it up? Would it sound good? Right now the towers sound great and go pretty low. It will only have to last about 3/4 of a year... What do you guys think? This will be my first DYI of anything. Please give me some feedback! Thanks

Of course it will work, might not be optimal bass, such as if you went to a Shiva with 250 watts of power, but it would still be cheap. Give it a try, sounds like you have nothing to lose. If it doesn't sound good, then consider it an experience, then think about a more serious DIY sub/amp combo.

Make sure to have fun while doing all this!!
